Athletes sue NCAA to stop men from competing in women’s sports

‘ Nude men ‘ allowed to ‘ disrobe in front of quasi- consenting college women’: lawsuit

16 female sports filed a complaint against the National Collegiate Athletics Association on Thursday, alleging they were forced to compete against and promote locker rooms with people.

The Free Press information that the NCAA’s regulations regarding trans athletes violate Title IX, the federal complaint claims.

Women’s rights activist Riley Gaines, a claimant in the case, said Thursday on X the NCAA has refused to listen to feminine sports ‘ problems.

” The NCAA continues to constantly and boldly discriminate against people because of our gender. We issued a legal demand letter last year, but they have n’t listened”, Gaines said.

    The Free Press reports more:

Lia Thomas ( pictured ) is the trans athlete who dominated the 2022 NCAA Swimming Championships while a University of Pennsylvania student. At the center of the class-action lawsuit is Lia Thomas ( pictured ). According to the lawsuit, both Georgia Tech, the host of the occasion and the NCAA intentionally violated Title IX, the federal law that guarantees equal opportunities for both men and women in gymnastics and school.

The petition, the second national action of its kind, seeks to change the rules, rendering any biological males unsuitable to compete against female sports. It demands the NCAA withdraw all accolades given to transgender athletes in women’s events and “reassign” them to their female contenders. It also asks for “damages for pain and suffering, mental and emotional stress, anguish and anxiety, charge fees and other damages due to defendants ‘ unlawful conduct”.

Additionally, the case asserts that the NCAA violated the rights of female athletes by allowing “naked men with complete man testicles to disrobe in front of non-consenting college women.”

According to the lawsuit, the rules” generate situations where afraid female college athletes accidentally or regretfully exposed their unclad bodies to men” and” subject women to a loss of their legal right to bodily privacy.”

Previous North Carolina State swimmer Kylee Alons, a plaintiff, claimed to find a “dimly lit store and utility bedroom” underneath the stands during one match with Thomas.

Alons claimed that at this elite-level meet, I was absolutely competing against Americans and Olympic gold medalists in a store drawer. I simply felt that the locker room was violating my protection and security.

Morris, a University of Kentucky student who also competed against Thomas, claimed they filed the lawsuit because the NCAA is “reckless and accountable and upholding the civil rights law that is Title IX.”

If the players win their situation, it” may impact eligibility guidelines at all 1, 100 colleges and universities represented by the NCAA, making sports born as men barred from competing in children’s activities,” The Free Press claims.

Notably, the attorney leading the lawsuit is Bill Bock, a former member of the NCAA Committee on Infractions, according to the Independent Council on Women’s Sports. After becoming uneasy with the NCAA’s transgender rules, Booth left the committee in February, The College Fix reported.
