New voting suggests the state is about to discover a “racial reconfiguration” in upcoming elections.
A recent study shows a steady decline in the number of “nonwhites” who call themselves Democrats.
The Financial Times ‘ key information writer is John Burn- Murdoch. His March 11 research shows that since 1960, there has been a steady decrease in black individuals, Latinos, and another nonwhites identifying as Democrats. As it now stands, about 50 % of minority self- identify as Democrats.
In upcoming elections, Burn- Murdoch said he foresees that the majority of non-white voters will recognize as Republicans.
According to Burn- Murdoch,” the movement we’re seeing today is not so much healthy Democrats becoming disillusioned as normal Republicans realizing they’ve been voting for the bad party.”
Similar data has been obtained from various elections. Democrats have lost nearly 20 points in support from black Americans who have switched parties in the last three years, according to Gallup poll, down from 86 % to 66 %.
The Financial Times reporter attributes this to a lessening stigma against voting liberal among non-white citizens. Generally, conservative people of color are then choosing to vote their values, never celebration loyalty, Burns- Murdoch says.
He gives an example of his views on gun rights and pregnancy. Voters who support the Second Amendment and for living are becoming more prevalent.
These data items might be significant for the upcoming election. For instance, in Georgia, ready black citizens make up a third of the population.

Biden currently enjoys 83 % support from black women and 73 % support from black men. Since the 1960s civil rights movement, no Democratic candidate has won less than 80 % of the dark vote.
Additionally, The Times reports that former president Donald Trump now enjoys almost four times as many black voters as he did in 2020. A New York Times- Siena Poll has him at 23 % black support, up from 4 % support in 2020 and 6 % in 2016.
