According to court records, an Iraqi regional who was granted a visitor visa to the United States in 2020 planned to bring “at least four Iraqis” across the southern border to assassinate past president George W. Bush.

According to court documents, Shihab Ahmed Shihab Shihab and other Iraqi citizens, 53, wanted to assassinate the then-president because they thought Bush was “responsible for killing some Iraqis and dissolving the entire state of Iraq” as a result of the build of” Operation of Iraqi Freedom.”

In the wake of the death story, Shihab was accused of trying to “provide material assistance and sources” to terrorists and received a sentence of more than 14 years in prison.

According to court records obtained by Fox News, Shihab previously backed al Qaeda as a weapon runner in the Iraq war. The Syrian national allegedly helped bring bombs that were used as baits against Americans and transported arms from Syria to Iraq.

Shihab worked for a number of franchises and businesses in Ohio before being granted a visitor visa to enter the United States on September 21, 2020, according to court documents obtained by a US District Court in Ohio. Before his arrest, Shihab requested prison in March of 2021, but it was still pending.

Two former Iraqi intelligence agents would have been in charge of Shihab’s death story, according to the court documents, if Shihab had discovered information about the former president’s Texas home. “at least four Iraqi immigrants” were apparently intended to cross the border between the United States and Mexico.

Shihab unknowingly disclosed his plan to an unidentified Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ) informant known as” CS1″ while planning the assassination of the former president. According to court records, Shihab claimed to have told the FBI agent that he wanted to be a part of the killing of former senator Bush. Shihab continued,” Proud” to have participated in the assassination attempt.

In 2021, Shihab believed he had smuggled a part of ISIS into the United States for$ 40, 000, nevertheless, court papers show that “in fact, the individual was false, and the conversation was coordinated under the course of the FBI”.

The court records indicate that between April 2021 and May 2022, the Iraqi national and” CS1″ had numerous recorded meetings. With” CS1″ accompanying him, Shihab also conducted surveillance of the former president’s home in February of 2022. In May of 2022, Shihab was later detained by the FBI Joint Terrorist Task Force.

Shihab may face deportation after serving his prison sentence, according to Fox News. The Iraqi national will also spend the rest of his days in supervised custody.
