Watching the Left try to impose fresh language to describe people in the country illegally as a writer made me find it fascinating.
The Left has gradually pushed accepted language away from “illegal aliens” ( the term in law ), to “illegal immigrants” ( the most common term ), to “undocumented immigrants” ( the Left’s current favorite term ), and now to “newcomers” ( the Joe Biden White House’s latest experiment in gaining language dominance ).
It all brings me to Vladimir Lenin’s famous speech revolt from 1903.
The Russian Social-Democratic Labour Party convened in secret in Brussels. ( The czar’s secret police prevented them from speaking out in public in Russia. ) There was a rift at the meeting between Lenin’s hard-line revolutionary party and a more modest political aircraft.
Lenin’s faction was the smaller group, but they claimed the title Bolshevik ( which means “greater faction” or majority ). Group with the most votes were foolish enough to accept the title Lenin gave them, which was Menshevik, meaning majority. In the subsequent two-decade struggle to topple the czar and establish Communist Russia, Lenin had a significant advantage in terms of language dominance and branding.
The Left has a passion for defining things and thoughts to become the dominant dialect, at least as far back as the French Revolution. For me, this process of applying improper immigration started at least 25 years earlier.
That’s when I first remember being lectured that using the word “illegal immigrants” was bad, and I may learn to say “undocumented”.
I thought this was crackers then, and I still do today. By definition, the people we were describing are unlawful. Breaking the law is their first compulsion to enter the country. Every legitimate refugee who quietly followed the rules and entered the United States officially is insulted by their choice to do so.
A handout from the Biden White House in late February read,” The bill also includes$ 1.4 billion for cities and states who are providing crucial services to newcomers.” The response to replacing “illegal expat” with “newcomer” was so severe that the Biden staff dropped it. But their aim was apparent.
On the Left, this method of normalizing strange and extreme suggestions continues unabated. Think of pushing transsexuals on children, kneeling during the Pledge of Allegiance, ignoring the damage caused by the Black Lives Matter protests, etc.
The issue for the Left is that outlawed emigration may be the battleground on which they cannot prevail.
The latest irony began when Biden responded to taunts from Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R- Ga., during his State of the Union address. He said,  ,” Lincoln ( sic ) Riley, an innocent young woman who was killed by an illegal. That’s correctly. However, how many of the tens of thousands of people are being murdered by criminals?
Notice that Biden had to quickly cover it up by mentioning a young woman who was killed by an illegal immigrant while acknowledging her as having been killed by legal immigrants and individuals. The illegal immigrant was hardly likely to be the subject.
Of course, he got Riley’s second name incorrect, but the Left instantly attacked him for using the word “illegal”. Nancy Pelosi, the previous House Speaker, was one of those included. Biden immediately began trying to retreat. In an interview with MSNBC’s Jonathan Capehart on the following Saturday, Biden acknowledged his crime of speech,” I should n’t had used’ illegitimate.’ it’s’ illegal.'”
But Biden could n’t stop there. He had to be pro- improper refugee.  ,” I’m not going to handle any, any, any of these individuals with contempt. Appear, they built the land. The explanation our business is growing”, he said.
Biden’s defence of illegal immigration hurt him with the regular American—and his usage of “illegal” injure him with his quit- wing allies.
His uncertainty gave him the appearance of weakness. But, in another act of speech supremacy, the White House just decided he really previously apologized for saying “illegal” in the first place.

Olivia Dalton, a White House deputy director, made an effort to understand on Monday, telling a writer that” the senator positively did not apologize” despite his appearance of regret.
” There was no apology somewhere in that conversation”, Dalton told reporters on Air Force One. ” He did not apologize. He employed a different phrase. I believe the facts should be very apparent to us.
Biden ( and his media team ) may get confused, but the American people are not. As Scott Rasmussen reported:
Our recent poll found that 55 % of citizens believe “illegal expat” is the correct name and another 8 % prefer “illegal alien”. While 63 % favor use of “illegal”, just 24 % prefer “undocumented migrant”.
Among traditional Democrats, 54 % prefer “illegal” and 33 % “undocumented”. But]Bernie] Sanders Democrats prefer “undocumented” by a 48 % to 30 % margin. Liberal Democrats have made Biden’s apology required. This simply moves him even further from the conventional.
Let’s be clear: Laken Riley was apparently killed by an improper immigrant. That illegal immigrant was in Athens, Ga., because of Biden’s crazy laws, which favor an open borders and promote unlawful immigrants over American people.
These information cannot be overcome by word game.
