All CNN does right now shows how nearly all of then-CEO Chris Licht’s failed efforts to calm it down are almost entirely forgotten.
On Monday, Oliver Darcy’s” Reliable Options” email was topped by the article” Elon’s Reality Escape”. That’s because CNN defines what “reality” is, and “reality” has a severe leftist discrimination. That discrimination makes you “reliable”.
Darcy’s slab began:” Elon Musk is showing the world how brainwashed he has become. The businessman, one of the most important people to have ever walked the Earth, spent a second trip swimming in the X-wing swamps.
The situation was Don Lemon’s arrogant and ignorant meeting of Musk, which caused Musk to draw his money of Lemon’s system. Lemon made all kinds of strange requirements of Musk, particularly his desire to have some command of the system’s” content moderation” plans.
” He’s not used to having to answer to anyone”, Lemon said in a Q&, A with People magazine after his self- destructive debacle, “especially someone like me, who does n’t share his worldview, who does n’t look like him”.
Darcy lamented:” Musk appears to be growing more intolerant of different viewpoints. While elevating correct- wing extremists, he instantly seeks to eliminate trust in reputable news sources”. This is advantageous because Darcy has publicly advocated deplatforming Fox News and another liberal networks and is intolerant of “right-wing extremist” viewpoints. CNN’s opinions are n’t views, they’re “facts”. Traditional ideas are “misinformation” and “hate speech”.
So, Darcy expressed dread that in his Lemon meeting,” Musk equated moderating unsafe and awful dislike speech to ‘ censorship.'” But what is “appalling love talk”? In his next section, Darcy complained Musk “bashed the push for genuine reporting”. Was this similar to CNN’s breathless monitoring that Donald Trump was rigged to win the presidency by conspiring with the Russians? Did that turn out to be “legitimate”?
The evils kept coming. Musk agreed with a person who wrote” Fake News is the Enemy of the People”, said the media is “basically the Biden clapping squad”, accused the news media of “lying” about Trump’s “bloodbath” remarks, called NPR a “nice type of Pravda”, and alleged Google “manipulate]s ] their search results with left- aircraft partiality”. Even if we wo n’t refer to pro-Biden news outlets as “enemies of the people,” that certainly sounds like the conservative critique.
Darcy does not make the case that conservatives are enemies of all that is good.
In the midst of a cascade of purple prose, Darcy concluded:” At this juncture, calling Musk a right- wing s–tposter is no longer provocative. It’s simply accurate”.
Musk is simply too powerful to be a conservative malcontent, according to Musk, who” spides corrosive venom into the public discourse at a faster rate than his SpaceX rockets hurtle into orbit” while owning X alone. Conservatism equals” corrosive venom”.
In fact, Musk has become self-radicalized on the website he was forced to purchase for$ 44 billion, sliding deeper into the darkest and most unsavory corners of the platform, which has served to only reinforce his own worldview with an echo chamber of conspiracy theorists and ego-stoking sycophants that regularly fawn at his every move, no matter how outrageous or preposterously false, according to Darcy.
When his rant was ended, he turned to Kara Swisher for support on” Elon’s X- tremism”. She stated,” My takeaway is that he has devolved into a very ill-informed thinker on a number of complex topics.”
When you think a conservative critique of liberal media is “ill- informed”, you’re suggesting that reliable “information” is liberal information and “misinformation” is conservatives trying to ruin routinely flawless liberal information. Who sounds “intolerant of other viewpoints”?
