A group of protest wearing clown costumes and wearing face-make-up walked away to Candace Owens ‘ speech on Tuesday at the University of Pittsburgh and punched her with questions about her past conflicts.
The villain activists questioned her about the fact that the shooter responsible for the 2019 Christchurch dome massacre in New Zealand had cited her statement during the Q&, A. They also inquired about five-year-old claims that she once claimed” Hilter was Alright.”
Owens said she has no idea why that happened in response to being asked about the Christchurch firing.
People are crazy, and we should n’t give homicidal maniacs any credit when they put together cartoons and characters who fought against apartheid plus a random American in their minds, Owens said.
The conservative critic was called racist by another clown protestor, who likewise mentioned Pittsburgh’s large Jewish population. She therefore questioned Owens regarding claims that she once said Hitler was fine.
Owens made it clear that her statement was completely outside the scope of a much larger discourse, that she was discussing nationalist nationalism in general and why that is appropriate, and that she had even attacked Hitler in the same discussion.
Prior to the talk, around 25 demonstrators— including the four clowns — marched in protest to her appearance, chanting” We’re around, we’re gay, find these fascists out of here”.
They followed up with,” What do we want? Trans freedom! When do we want them? Today! If we do n’t get it, shut it down”.
Additionally, the group distributed symptoms containing the words” TPUSA you’re all swine” in reference to the traditional student organization that hosted Owens. Other evidence said “protect trans right” and” Transsanctuary City” in addition.
The majority of protest were turned aside from entering the location, as their symptoms, luggage, and noisemakers were not allowed. Four idiots, however, were granted access. The place had just about 500 chairs, and hundreds of people who had lined up to observe Owens were even turned away because there was not enough space.
When Owens initially took the stage, she quipped:” What’s up with the villain outfits”?
” We have a place for you in our car, we can all healthy”, the protest responded.
” Oh my gosh, that’s but amazing”, Owens replied.
After giving an hour-long speech, Owens continued to discuss her experience as a liberal student who later became one of the most well-known conservative voices in the country.
” I just want to get back to a place in the world where we were n’t all being gaslit, right? When outrageous things are happening in front of us, and it’s like, oh, if you notice the insane, then it’s because you’re crazy”, Owens said, according to Pitt News. ” To walk up to a bath and to have a sign]that says],’ This is an alternate restroom]and ] any man is come here.’ Yeah, we now have this. We used to only visit it,’ restroom.'”
” I do say it’s an awful day to be a school student”, Owens even said. ” College campuses have completely shifted, especially with]what is ] coming from professors. ] When you ] are being encouraged to suggest that you are a ‘ they,’ and to use that as a paragraph describing topics that are not numerous, it’s crazy. I do n’t even see how learning can happen in that society”.
Members of the audience were given the opportunity to ask her questions at the end of her speech, and those who disagree were moved to the front of the series, including the villain activists.
The majority of participants appeared to be there in aid of Owens despite modest backlash.
” I was totally blown away by the participation and assistance from both individuals and society people”, Lili Orozco, chairman of TPUSA at Pitt, told The College Fix in an exam.
Orozco expressed his happiness that the clowns managed to attend the event and had the chance to interact with Cynthia during our Q&, A session. They had the opportunity to own their voices heard, she said. When we hold events on college, the circus usually visits area. I’m looking forward to seeing them in the future.
