EL PASO, TX ( KFOX14 ) — El Paso County’s Sheriff’s Office said it is preparing for a budget crunch as SB4, the Texas law aimed at detaining and deporting undocumented immigrants, makes illegal entry a state crime.
The County is required to keep state prisoners, which the Coroner’s office said may produce a crisis.

Urrutia claimed SB4 may reduce the number of federal prisoners held by his company, which is a significant source of funding.
