Major airlines want to hear how Boeing plans to fix problems in the manufacturing of its planes

People with knowledge of the situation said on Thursday that the heads of leading U.S. airlines want to join with Boeing and learn how the plane manufacturer is fixing value issues that have become a focus of concern since a panel blows out of an Alaska Airlines jetliner in January.
