The Biden administration and its Democratic friends continue to muscle Israel’s conflict in Gaza by undermining Israel’s battle frequently, contemplating withholding support from Israel, and favoring the overthrow of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s state.
Undermining War Work
The Biden administration continues to erode Israel’s war effort. In directing the conflict in Gaza, President Biden has stated that an Israeli war of Rafah would be a “red line,” that he needed to meet with Bibi, and that Bibi was “hurting Israel more than helping Israel.”
Israel appears to be planning to maintain its conquest of Rafah, as per the Israeli defence minister, who stated that” …those who think we are delaying will quickly notice that we will reach people.” The IDF’s invasion of Gaza is supported by an estimated 75 % of Jewish Israelis. The IDF lately killed a captain in Rafah’s Hamas ‘ Operations system, who was in charge of scouting IDF jobs and stealing help intended for Gazans. While there have been rumors that the Biden administration may permit a limited Army strike in Rafah to strike “high-value” targets, the management has not yet demonstrated that it will help the IDF to fight Hamas in Rafah and Gaza in general.
In reality, a new knowledge report released by the Biden administration more undermines Israel’s conflict in Gaza, generally writing off Israel’s right to defend itself as meaningless. Specifically, the report predicts that” Israel possibly will face lingering military resistance from Hamas for years to come, and the defense will struggle to destroy Hamas’s underwater infrastructure, which allows insurgents to conceal, regain strength, and surprise Jewish forces”. Interestingly, while the report notes that the Israeli public “broadly supports” Hamas ‘ destruction, the report does not endorse these views on behalf of the US defense establishment.
The report also raises questions about the October 7 attack and Israel’s response, stating that both have “increased tensions throughout the region as Iranian proxies and partners carry anti-U.S. and anti-Israel attacks, both in support of Hamas and under pressure from the United States.”
Conditioning Aid
President Biden is reportedly considering conditioned future aid to Israel if Israel goes ahead with an invasion of Rafah despite saying that” [there is no red line ] I’m going to cut off all weapons so that they do n’t have the Iron Dome]missile defense system ] to protect them. Israel Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and six other Democratic senators have asked President Biden to stop providing military assistance to Israel, including “assistance for missile defense, such as the Iron Dome, or other defensive system.” The letter demands that Israel “immediately and dramatically expand ] humanitarian access and facilitat[ing ] safe aid deliveries throughout Gaza.” Such calls resemble Sanders ‘ and AOC’s 2019 push to reduce Israeli aid as a means of pressure on the Jewish state.
Attempting to remove Bibi
The Biden administration has telegraphed that it wants to see Netanyahu’s government overthrown. A” report/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>serious administration figure” has reportedly asked an Israeli expert what it would take to force the collapse of Netanyahu’s government. Additionally, the intelligence report mentioned above states that:
Netanyahu’s viability as leader and his ruling coalition of ultra-orthodox parties that pursued hardline policies on Palestinian and security issues may be in jeopardy. We anticipate significant demonstrations calling for Netanyahu’s resignation and new elections have deepened and broadened among the electorate from its already high levels before the war. A different, more moderate government is a possibility.
In response, a “very senior official” in Israel, described in Israeli media as” the most senior Israeli political source you can imagine”, ( i. e., most likely Netanyahu ) stated that Israel is an independent democracy that elects its own government and not a “protectorate of the US”, and called for “our friends” to help to “overthrow the terror regime of Hamas and not the elected government of Israel”.
Israel should continue to fight counter-productive forces that are attempting to stymie its war effort and fight for Hamas’s complete victory. Only then can Gaza and Israel establish a lasting peace.
