A reform plan has been released by a Republican task force that includes the largest number of conservatives in the House to stop Social Security benefit reduces as the program sags on the verge of bankruptcy.
Social Security is facing potential difficulties as a result of factors like prices and lower-than-expected taxes revenue, with some estimates predicting that the principal Social Security fund may run out of money in ten years, leading to benefits reductions.
For instance, according to a projection from the nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget ( CRFB), the Social Security trust fund, which is made up of the OASI trust fund and the Disability Insurance trust fund, will run dry in 2033.
