From the National side, President Joe Biden has not only kept the classic Trump tariffs on Chinese products in place but has also banned the sale of sophisticated electronics to China and American investment in Chinese tech.
From the Chinese side, Chinese Communist Party (CCP ) leader Xi Jinping has begun a campaign to remove any foreign—mostly American—technology in China with a residence- grown alternative. The rate of coupling seems set to expand. Without contacts, chances are that the world—including the United States and China—will lose out on improvements that otherwise would have occurred. China will probably gain more in the bargain than the United States….
