A CNN contributor lightly admitted that Mar- A- Lago is for hundreds of millions of dollars when discussing New York Attorney General Letitia James ‘ civil fraud case against former President Donald Trump, which culminated in a prosecutor ruling that the property is solely for between$ 18 and$ 35 million.
Real estate specialist Bess Freedman joined CNN to discuss the potential arrest of Trump’s Westchester golf lessons and land, a shift James has now taken first steps towards. Trump has until Monday to spend the remainder of the$ 434 million good levied against him by Monday, then James has promised to seize his qualities.
” You need at least 30 days to get any of these properties sold. But the house that you alluded to, Mar- A- Lago, possibly that could be something that may be sold fast. I think the pricing is something in the hundreds of millions and I think there could be a consumer for something like that”, Freedman said.
” And that would be, virtually, if you’re talking about doing that between now and Monday, that’s picking up the phone calling someone and then actually writing a check”, CNN’s Erin Burnett added.
” Yeah, I mean there could be plenty of international people who want to buy that house. I mean, there’s properties that are priced at$ 150 and$ 200 million that are nearby that. And Palm Beach is like the Nvidia of real property. It’s simply shot up like a rocket. And folks do want to live it. They’ve moved it. So I think that would be the best case scenario as to home if he’s trying to sell quickly”, Freedman continued.
Trump has been ordered to come up with the entirety of the$ 434 fine levied against him by Judge Arthur Engoron by Monday. Trump’s lawyers have referred to the job as a “practical impossibility”.
” The amount of the view, with curiosity, exceeds$ 464 million, and very few bonding companies will consider a bond of something approaching that magnitude”, Trump’s lawyers said. ” Despite scouring the market, we have been unsuccessful in our efforts to obtain a bond for the Judgment Amount for Defendants for the simple reason that obtaining an appeal bond for$ 464 million is a practical impossibility under the circumstances presented”.
James has huge threatened to capture former President Trump’s assets and qualities if the good is never paid on time. ” If he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will find view protection systems in judge, and we will question the judge to capture his property”, James , said , during an interview with ABC News last month.
On March 6, James registered Judge Arthur Engoron’s$ 464 million judgement against Trump in Westchester County, according to a Westchester County , online database. The move will make it easier for James to seize the former president’s 140- acre Trump National Golf Club Westchester and Seven Springs estate, both of which are located in the New York suburb, if he is unable to pay the fine.
