According to the Jerusalem Post, a story that had been published for more than 24 hours by the state-controlled news outlet Al Jazeera slowly removed from circulation. It contained fabricated claims that Israeli troops raped Arab women at Gaza’s Al-Shifa Hospital.
After entering the doctor where Hamas extremists had barricaded themselves, Jamila Al-Hessi, a Gazan lady, claimed in the original article that she saw Israeli soldiers “raping women, killing them, and burning whole families dead.” The Israeli Defense Forces and the Israeli government were soon widely criticized as a result of the story’s rapid popular popularity on social media.  ,
However, Yasser Abuhilalah, a journalist and former Al Jazeera producer, acknowledged on Sunday that the report was fabricated, noting in an X article that “it was revealed through Hamas studies that the tale of the assault of ladies in Al-Shifa Hospital was fabricated.”
” The lady who spoke about murder justified her exaggeration and incorrect communicate by saying that the purpose was to arouse the world’s passion and brotherhood”, Abuhilalah said, adding,” As if more than 30, 000 saints, 90, 000 wounded, about a million displaced people, and comprehensive death were not enough”!
According to the Jerusalem Post, Al Jazeera suspended all policy of the account after it had been on the website for more than 24 days without issuing a statement or retract.
Jihad Khelles, a pro- Hamas Gazan priest, even said on X that there has been no evidence to substantiate Al- Hessi’s assault allegations against Israeli troops. Khelles lamented that for processing only” creates stress and fear” and “makes]Palestinians ] feel anguish and anger at a time when we are most in need for security and comfort”.
Al Jazeera has long been a member of and has long been a spokesperson for Hamas ‘ economic and ally Qatari government. In November, Rep. Jack Bergman ( R., Mich. ) wrote in a letter to House speaker Mike Johnson ( R., La. ) that Al Jazeera was “openly endorsing Hamas’s savage philosophy” and “promot]ing ] body calumnies against Israel—and yet calling for’ Jihad’ against the United States and the West”.
