According to Jewish officials, a sizable package of sophisticated weapons was intercepted on Monday from Iran in an effort to aid West Bank-based militants from Israel from starting terrorist attacks against Israel.
The leaders behind the contraband work as Juad Ofri and Munir Mukdach, both of whom have been linked to Iran’s Muslim Revolutionary Guard Corps, were revealed by the Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet, Israel’s domestic security company. Since April 2019, the State Department has labeled the IRGC as a terrorist business.  ,
The seized weapons include 31 jet- propelled grenades, 50 handguns, 25 grenades, grenade launchers, grouping bombs, anti- container mines, and anti- cylinder head missiles, the Jerusalem Post reported.
Israeli authorities claimed that during their interrogations of Palestinian militants, they learned about the Persian shipping network, which was intended to destroy the West Bank and launch more successful terrorist attacks against Israel.  ,
Following the Biden administration’s renewal of a sanctions waiver that gave Iran access to more than$ 10 billion in frozen assets on March 13, Israel’s weapons were taken. A group of Republican politicians had written in a letter to the leadership that the administration was still operating under the threat of renewing the exemption.
