
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio- Cortez ( D- N. Y. ) claimed during a Sunday meeting that former President Donald Trump “ordered” a “terrorist harm” on the U. S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. The Democrat senator’s state came in defence of President Joe Biden’s government’s perceived weaponization of the Justice Department to pin his leading political opposition.
Jake Tapper, a host of CNN’s” State of the Union,” questioned the Democrat congresswoman about how she would handle American citizens who question the numerous criminal charges brought against the previous leader. Ocasio-Cortez questioned what she would say to voters who claimed the state is “going after” the Republican Party’s alleged 2024 presidential candidate and that Trump is not “being treated evenly” as a result of the rules.

” Has there ever been a senator, Republican or Democrat, that has been content to this level of legal fees, charges, and investigations”? Ocasio- Corez asked in response to Tapper’s problem. ” This is not about group. This is not about elections. This is about fraud and crime. We’re talking about a person who, in order to keep power, ordered basically a criminal assault on the American Capitol.
Pushing up against criticisms of the Biden administration’s several investigations and indictments against the previous president, Ocasio- Cortez said Trump is an “unethical individual, who is content and liable to criminality”.
Since Biden took office in 2021, Trump has been indicted more than 91 days, according to The Post Millennial. The store cited earlier Gallup surveys that showed that many British voters had lost faith in the country’s criminal justice system because the Justice Department has consistently portrayed itself as a target for the former president.
