Canada cancels female scholar who believes in biological sex

Did n’t even pay her for prepared presentation, professor says&nbsp,

The American state” no- platformed” a anthropology professor for her sights on natural sex, the professor alleges.

Alice Sullivan, a professor of sociology at University College London IOE’s Social Research Institute, said her talk” Why do we have information on sex and gender identification”? was canceled in the last second, and her remuneration was denied.

” I find it rather surprising that a nationwide Department of Justice would intervene to stop a discussion about sex data collection, which some department members were obviously interested in.” Why are those who oppose sexual data collection so hesitant to engage in talk? Sullivan just told The College Fix via internet.

Sullivan said her discuss conflicts with the American government’s data selection, which “defaults to ‘ gender’ rather of sex”.

Instead of avoiding information set on sex, her lecture, which was scheduled for March 8th as International Women’s Day, may include “discussed the importance of collecting data on both.”

But, Sullivan claimed that the person who had invited her called to cancel the event after she sent her presentations to the office for translation into European.

The ministry representative told The Fix that the department official” said she was not authorised to provide any explanation, but that we both knew what the cause was.”

The same people claimed that because the office “did not want any history of me on their publications,” her$ 999 Canadian remuneration would not be paid.

When asked for a call from whom Sullivan may get a written reason, the people refused to provide any knowledge, she said.

A spokesperson for the agency’s Communications Branch informed The Fix via email that Sullivan’s occurrence had been” cancelled in favor of promoting an event offered by the Canada School of Public Service” that “aligned more closely with the theme of the International Women’s Day 2024 – Investing in Women and Accelerating Progress.”

However, Dennis Hayes, a visiting professor at the University of Buckingham, claimed via email that Sullivan had been demonized because she demonstrated in her social analysis that it is hard to provide a true bill unless biological sexual is a factor.

Academics for Academic Freedom, which Hayes leads, added Sullivan to its list of banned listeners as a result of the withdrawal. The list includes listeners who were banned, threatened, or persecuted for their ideas.

Sullivan has been on the record before. AFAF also included her in October 2023, March 2023, and April 2020 due to protests and speech delays that claimed she has” transphobic” views on sex and gender.

Sullivan and additional academics were in the middle of a sit-in and demonstrations over the release of a book they wrote about sex and gender in the affair, The Fix reported.

Hayes stated to The Fix that there are only two women in the UK because doing so could lead to criticism from diversity employees and even job loss. He said “gender- important academics” like Sullivan “frequently look” on the Restricted Record because they refuse to” personal- censor”.

Another instance is given by Hayes, who cited a February employment tribunal ruling that Open University professor Jo Phoenix had been unjustly fired for her gender-sensitive opinions.

More scientists must halt being self-censored and declare the truth. Alice, Jo and our AFAF departments are doing just that”, Hayes said.
