Australian businessman Dick Smith has been apologised by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation ( ABC ) after it incorrectly stated that he did not support the use of renewable energy.
Mr. Smith is credited with founding the Dick Smith Electronics company and his robust anti-social and climate lobbying.
Smith argued last week on 2GB radio that Australia should engage in nuclear energy, noting that the nation cannot work entirely on renewable energy.
He objected to the claim made by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization ( CSIRO ) that solar and wind will produce enough energy to power all of the nation’s electricity grids.
