A well-known programmer in St. Petersburg has been detained by the police in connection with two Twitter comments about the terrorist attack that occurred at the Moscow concert hall and claimed the lives of at least 139 people.
As Nikolai Konashenok prepared to take a flight to Yerevan on March 25, he was stopped at Pulkovo aircraft.
Immediately before his detention, Konashenok’s wife, a nicely- known art manager, announced she was resigning as public director of the New Holland social development that her husband even managed, citing “monstrous statements irreconcilable with humanity” written by a “family member”.
Konashenok downplayed the seriousness of the incident and suggested the intruders should have instead targeted the Kremlin immediately after the March 22 assault.
Authorities say they’re investigating possible fanaticism.
