A well-known programmer in St. Petersburg has been detained by the police in connection with two Twitter comments about the terrorist attack at the Moscow concert hall, which claimed the lives of at least 139 people.
As Nikolai Konashenok prepared to take a flight to Yerevan on March 25, he was stopped at Pulkovo aircraft.
Immediately before his detention, Konashenok’s wife, a properly- known art manager, announced she was resigning as public director of the New Holland social development that her husband even managed, citing “monstrous statements irreconcilable with humanity” written by a “family member”.
Konashenok downplayed the intensity of the incident and suggested the attackers may have targeted the Kremlin rather quickly after the March 22 assault.
Authorities say they’re investigating probable fanaticism.
