On Wednesday, a national nonprofit praised some of the development workers who were at the Francis Scott Key Bridge as powerful group leaders.
When the gate collapsed, six construction workers slammed into the Patapsco River early on Tuesday morning. Four people are reportedly useless, while two were found close to the site in a red pickup truck.
A nationwide organization, CASA aims to improve the life of immigrant populations. Its Baltimore department said two of the staff, Miguel Luna and Maynor Suazo, served their goal also.
Suazo was scheduled to commemorate his birthday soon, according to CASA Executive Director Gustavo Torres during a Zoom call with reporters on Tuesday.
” He was often full of joy. The home arrived for his birthday party on April 27 at the time Maynor turned 35 years older, he said.
Luna and Suazo are said to be lifelong CASA people, according to Torres. Both of them were very effective in their communities, pushing for changes and other initiatives to improve the lives of their companions.
We look to the management of Maynor and Miguel to demonstrate how they uphold our society in a time when there is such a high level of animosity toward the immigrant community, Torres said.
Torres claimed that CASA has been assisting the people of all the construction employees since the bridge’s decline.
The Archdiocese of Baltimore as a whole has been assisting, but Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Baltimore’s Highlandtown community has even reached up.
” The Esperanza Center, which is run by Catholic Charities, is engaged in reaching out to the people with all kinds of service”, Archbishop William Lori told WJZ Tuesday night.
Everyone who is assisting the communities promises to continue providing them with assistance as long as necessary in order to compensate Luna and Suazo for their service to their communities.
” We know they were painful workers, we know that they love football, we know that they love their communities and community”, Torres said. ” We know that they were, both of them, extraordinary man people”.
Torres stated that CASA may be releasing more information about how the general public can assist these individuals in sorting out the situation.
