Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a representative, has criticised it billionaire Elon Musk for holding a blatant anti-immigration position.
The liberal New York senator made an obvious point in response to a post from Mr. Musk that claimed Democrats wanted “import citizens” on Thursday.
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez wrote on X that “you’re actually an immigrant.” Mr. Musk was born and raised in South Africa and immigrated to Canada in 1988 before immigrating to the US.
” And for everyone saying’ yeah, but lawful!! ‘ may I once again tell you that seeking prison is legitimate, too”, the senator continued.
Mr Musk’s message accompanied a title from The Daily Caller — a correct- aircraft media outlet — that read,” Biden Considering Granting Amnesty, Handing Out Green Cards to Illegal Immigrants”. The article quotes a report from Politico that claimed the Biden administration does allow undocumented immigrants to become US residents if they have resided in the country for more than ten times and have representative relatives who suffer if they are deported.
No content made any mention of Mr. Musk’s unsupported claim that Democrats are attempting to “import voters.”
Not for the first day have Ms. Ocasio-Cortez and Mr. Musk sparred on social media. The Tesla CEO responded to a film released by Ms. Ocasio-Cortez last September that claimed more immigrants entered the US through Ellis Island than those who had crossed the Rio Grande improperly.
Mr Musk said,” She’s just not that smart”, and the Congresswoman was quick to respond.
She wrote on X,” I was n’t born wealthy, and I became the youngest woman to serve in Congress in American history.” Then I looked into Cohen, wrote the largest FEMA death help plan in story, and spearheaded the development of a US environment corps to make tens of thousands of new jobs.
Democratic senator Tony Gonzalez was also on a trip to the US-Mexico borders at the same time as Mr. Musk.
You can actually read what Mr. Musk said on Google about the magic words you need to say in any language you want, according to Mr. Musk,” we are in this ironic situation where the vast majority of individuals are not in reality asylum seeking.”
During his visit, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez criticized both him and Mr. Gonzalez, taking a different swipe at the businessman.
This Republican Congressman chose to skip town to stroll with a tycoon when his own party needs his vote because the House is holding significant vote in DC now, people are trying to avoid a closure, she wrote on X.
Elon Musk contacted The Independent for comment, and the Independent received an auto-responding message that read,” Busy then, please examine back later.”
