After Democrats pledged to provide free health care to illegal immigrants while ignoring American members, Scott Lunsford claimed he was done with them.
Scott Lunsford of Wichita, Kansas, knew the exact moment he was leaving the Democratic Party, he told his roughly 16, 000 supporters on TikTok in a new movie that quickly went viral.
When all 10 Democratic Party candidates raised their hands in favor of illegal immigrants receiving government-subsidized health coverage during a discussion in the 2019 national principal season.
” I was a two- day bone malignancy survivor”, he told his fans in the picture. ” I voted for Obama–Biden based on Obamacare. And when it was implemented in 2010, I ended up losing my coverage”.
The Affordable Care Act (ACA ), known informally as” Obamacare”, became law in 2010 under President Barack Obama.
Before the implementation of the law, Mr. Lunsford’s monthly insurance plan was$ 185 with a$ 1, 000 deductible. But, that legislation was canceled because it no more met the ACA needs.
The cheapest option available under the new legislation was a ,$ 1, 200 monthly program with a$ 6, 000 threshold, he said in the picture.
” I went 10 years without plan, and I was penalized each year because I was no longer afford plan”, he said. ” Everything they said about Obamacare was a lie,” they said.
According to Mr. Lunsford, 54, it was like getting” water poured on a wound” when Democrats urged free health care for unlawful immigrants while he had left.
When he was 32, specialists discovered he had cancers on his forearm, he said. The top arm spine that connects to the back is known as the forearm.
Physicians took out the spine, he explained, and replaced it with a wire to join his shoulder.
He said,” Thankfully, I had my plan because I was going in and getting X-rays.”
When he turned 36, doctors discovered a new development on a bone that had been left over to join his shoulder.
” If I had n’t had insurance, I would n’t be here right now”, he said. ” I was n’t supposed to make it either time”.
The damaged arm had to be removed, he said.
” It was a very hard thing to do, but at the same time, it was n’t for my benefit”, he said. ” It was for my mother’s profit that I be it”.
The Tires Only Started Falling Off, in effect.
Mr. Lunsford had been a politically moderate vote, he said, but was more financially liberal.
He recalled that the Democratic Party’s successful campaign to demonize Republicans by saying they did n’t want people to have insurance if they had preexisting conditions was a part of its promotion of the ACA at the time.
He said,” I already had two rounds of cancer and lost my arm, and that made me really frightened, so it was a no-brainer for me to vote for Obama–Biden based solely on that one policy.”
But, after President Obama got elected and the ACA was implemented in 2010,” the wheels really started falling off”, he said.
Despite claims of being able to maintain one’s program and doctor, Mr. Lunsford found that, under the ACA’s rules, some insurance policies were no more accepted, including his own.
According to him,” Believe it or not, I discovered that my insurance policy was no longer acceptable because it did n’t offer free birth control.” We were in our later 30s around. In our condition, that was a total waste.
At the time, he was in the process of applying for disability, and his wife was making$ 10 an hour trying to support a family of five.
” We had a difficult decision to make”, he said. ” Do we go back and get this more expensive plan, or do we nourish our kids”?
He claimed that it was a difficult choice that was made simple when considering the life of his children.
” And from then on, I spent just under ten years without ever having a chest X-ray, a CT scan, or any other tests that my doctor recommended every six months to make sure it did n’t come back,” he said.
The anger, he said, festered.
He was taxed each year for not having insurance, which only made it worse, and any day the subject of healthcare was discussed, Mr. Lunsford became agitated.
Every day Democratic candidates appeared on stage and campaigned against the broken health care system, he said,” but they all voted for this.”
When he saw the 10 main candidates in the 2019 conversation raise their hands, Mr. Lunsford said, he had already started to distance himself from the Democrat Party.
” That was the moment—pardon the pun— I washed my hands of the Democrat Party”, he said. I was done with them. They should sit there and brag about how they would provide laborers plan while taking me aside, not allowing me to have those testing be done to ensure my tumor did n’t return, and then punish me for it. For the first time in my eyes, I started to see plainly.
In the traditional country
Mr. Lunsford said the actual outcomes of his laws are what determine his choice to support former president Donald Trump.
” When you look at what he’s done, it works”, he said. ” His procedures benefit me immediately. I got a duty cut. My company was given a duty break. They gave us all raises. I was working at Costco at the time when I observed how charges were lowered as a result of the income cuts. I began to realize that Republicans were choosing to vote for me to had more cash while Democrats were choosing to vote for me to have less, as they would have it.
He does n’t consider himself a Republican, he said. His moderate views have n’t changed, but the Democratic Party has shifted too far left, leaving him “in conservative territory”.
” Now I’m considered MAGA because I do n’t agree with Democrats”, he said. ” For all the griping people have done about Donald Trump, I never once heard anyone complain about the price of oil, the price of groceries, prices, and the loan rate. People are upset that nothing happened back next.
He added that under the Trump administration there were no new war and that fuel was$ 0.89 per gallon.
” I’m sitting at a gas station now and it’s$ 3.19, and that’s after it came down”, he said. ” Now, I know people say presidents do n’t affect gas prices, but their policies do”.
A Information for Young Persons
Mr. Lunsford said he had a message for young people who are still covered by their parents ‘ insurance.
” You only think you are struggling now trying to pay rent, trying to buy groceries, and trying to buy a home”, he said. ” You are required to get your own plan or get without, and that’s a whole different level of stress you have yet to practice”.
Mr. Lunsford claimed that he had no idea how many others struggled the same way until he read the feedback section on his comments.
In another video he posted, he said it is n’t good to vote “against” a candidate as opposed to voting “for” someone else, which he’s seeing many younger people do today, he said.
” Do n’t vote against Donald Trump because you’re told to hate him”, he said in the video. Do n’t cast your vote against Biden because you believe he’s an elderly, senile man. Voting on the things that you believe will have the biggest impact on you.
He told The Epoch Times that young people do n’t vote for policies that will directly impact people’s lives because they see the presidential election as a popularity contest.
” They’re never thinking about the consequences of inflation, higher- interest rates, and the cost of goods and services”, he said. ” They’re not worried about that because they have n’t experienced it yet”.
What he’s found as people get older, however, is that they shift to the right after they “gain more knowledge through life knowledge”.
” That does n’t mean they become Republican, but it means they do n’t align with the Democratic Party anymore”, he said. ” I think that’s where you find a lot of independent electors and Libertarians”.
‘ It’s Disingenuous ‘
From what he’s seen, Democrats just care about photo, Mr. Lunsford said.
He said,” They will step over a homeless veteran on a sidewalk in our country to send money to Ukraine from all over the world.” ” It’s disingenuous”.
Global warming does n’t scare him as much as where society will be in 10 to 15 years, he said.
” I’m team asteroid at this point. Travel get us out so no one has to endure, because I’m seeing how fast things are changing since I graduated”, he said. When I was in college, we never touched on a person’s sexual identity in school, and now it seems like they are checking these boxes to see if they are Gay allies. If no, you’re full of hate. Do you help BLM? No? OK, you’re a discriminatory. It was the very situation that Dr. Martin Luther King was engaged in. It’s brain- boggling to see how far we’ve gone back”.
Despite this, Mr. Lunsford said he has” a great respect for living” since surviving cancer.
” I do n’t have bad days”, he said. ” I have some time that are better than others, but I always have a bad day because I cheated on suicide double,” he said.
He harbors no fury, he said.
” I do n’t walk with my head down”, he said. My brain is raised as I walk.
And that’s a message for all, he said.
” You get to decide if it’s a rate knock slowing you down or a roadblock”, he said. ” No one else gets to have that authority except for you,” the saying goes.
Mr. Lunsford chose to interpret his rapid analysis as a rate bump.
” It was a hard time, but I gained a lot of knowledge from going through that”, he said. Because everyone has problems, I always claim that my position was worse than others. Everyone has losses”.
A loss, he said, can be a layout for a wonderful return, and America has an opportunity to travel again.
It’s a no-brainer for me to choose which one I want to see again in business when I see what we got under Trump as opposed to what we’re getting under Biden.
Mr. Lunsford said that although he used to like President Trump’s abrasiveness, then he appreciates it because of the original president’s push to fight for plans that make people’s lives better.
” I did n’t like him then, but now, I’d give my right arm to have him back”, Mr. Lunsford joked.
