AT&T Says Leaked Data Set Impacts About 73 Million Current, Former Account Holders

AT&amp, T, a telecoms firm, announced on Saturday that it is looking into a data set that was released on the “dark web” about two weeks ago, and that its preliminary research shows it has had an impact on about 7.6 million current accounts holders and 65.4 % past bill holders.
The firm said the data collection appears to be from 2019 or earlier. AT&amp, T claimed it does not have proof of the incident’s resultant illicit access to its techniques.
The firm stated that it is not yet known whether the information came from AT&amp, T, or one of its distributors.
AT&amp, T said the tragedy has not had a material effect on its activities, and said the source of the data is still being assessed….
