Illegal immigration, terrorism concerns increase among US citizens: Gallup – Fox News

Since last year, U.S. people have been paying more attention to issues relating to illegal multiculturalism and violence.

According to a Gallup poll released on Friday, Americans ‘ priorities have changed since March 2023, with many people’s thoughts focused on immigration and national security issues.

The country’s top concern is still inflation, with 55 % of respondents saying they are “very worried” about the impact, but it’s down 8 % from the previous year.

Since March 2023, illegal immigration has increased by seven points from last year, moving from 41 % to 48 %. This was mostly due to increased concern among Democrats, who rose from 14 % to 27 %.

Additionally, the number of concerns about a potential terrorist attack has increased by seven points, from 36 % to 43 %.

U.S. intelligence officials have issued a warning to the people that the risk of problems has increased worldwide following the Hamas terrorist strikes on October 7 in Israel.

According to authorities, the national security concerns are even greater when combined with an extraordinary number of illegal immigrants crossing the U.S. southern border.

Gallup also conducted its quarterly “unprompted” surveys of national problems, asking responders to name the most tapping problem in the country. &nbsp,

In this poll, Gallup reported illegal immigration was the most common answer with 28 % of respondents. This matches the study’s results from past month.

Since 1981, Gallup’s unsolicited ballot has the highest level of concern for illegal immigration.

Poor management and government ranked next, followed by about 19 % in the unprompted ballot. Following this, concerns were raised about the inflation rate of 11 % and the economy at 14 %. &nbsp,

The survey was taken starting in Mar. 1 to Mar. 20 and surveyed 1, 016 individuals via smartphone and landline phones. It reports a ±5 % margin of error.
