One person was killed, and five others were injured on Easter Sunday in a Nashville, Tennessee, coffee shop shooting. The Metro Nashville Police Department is currently still searching for the suspect.

The Metro Nashville Police Department announced Sunday that detectives were “working to determine the motive” behind the Easter shooting at the Roasted Brunch restaurant on Garfield Street in Nashville. The department explained that the shooting incident took place at roughly 3 p.m. on Sunday.

“There was an altercation between two men at Roasted,” Don Aaron, a Metro Nashville Police spokesman, said during a press conference, according to Fox News. “Sunday brunch was being served. During that time period, the altercation occurred and escalated, very sharply, to one of the men pulling a gun and firing multiple shots.”

Aaron added, “A total of eight persons were transported from the scene, one of them deceased, 5 others confirmed gunshot victims, one other with a scratch, the cause of which we’re not sure of at this point, and then one person who wanted to go to the hospital due to a panic attack.”

The Metro Nashville Police spokesman clarified that the individual who suffered a panic attack Sunday was a pregnant woman, and the Metro Nashville Police Department later noted that the man who was killed during Sunday’s shooting incident had been identified as 33-year-old Allen Beachem.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said Sunday that the suspect had not yet been arrested and shared photos of the shooting suspect on social media, alongside a Mercedes GLS 450, which was used by the suspect to quickly escape from the scene of the shooting.

In an update shared on social media Sunday night, the Metro Nashville Police Department said the suspect had been identified as 46-year-old Anton Rucker, who is a “convicted felon.” The Metro Nashville Police Department also announced that the Mercedes GLS 450 had been located “during the night.”

The department wrote that Rucker “has agg assault convictions in Nashville & was arrested in Murfreesboro on felony drug charges last 10/31, and on agg assault & gun charges last Aug.”

Following Sunday’s shooting incident, Democratic Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell tweeted, “Tragically, Easter was disrupted by gun violence in my neighborhood at one of our wonderful small businesses. @MNPDNashville has the area secured, and @NashvilleFD EMS has taken care of victims. My heart goes out to those who had their holiday disrupted by gun violence.”
