Fox News chairman Rupert Murdoch is engaged to Elena Zhukova, more than 20 years his junior, marking the mogul’s fifth fiancée.
She will get his second wife this summer if they do so. The 92- year- ancient ex- chairman of Fox News and News Corp is set to state” I do” in June to the 67- year- old past molecular biologist, The New York Times reports.
The businessman and Zhukova, formerly from Moscow, began dating last summers after apparently meeting through his second wife, Wendi Deng. After 14 years of marriage and two sons, Murdoch filed for divorce from Deng in 2013.
Following his abrupt two-week proposal to Ann Lesley Smith next year, Murdoch and Zhukova began dating.
The wedding announcement comes shortly after Murdoch made the announcement in September that he would move down as chairman of Fox News and News Corp. Lachlan, his youngest son, will take his place at both companies.
Zhukova is n’t the first billionaire to get engaged to, who was formerly married to Alexander Zhukov, an energy investor. They share a princess, Dasha Zhukova, 42, who was formerly married to Russian oligarch and businessman Roman Abramovich.
Murdoch’s second trip to the temple was in 1956 when he wed fellow American Patricia Brooker. Murdoch and the flight attendant welcomed child Prudence two years later before splitting up in 1967. They also worked as a part-time department business model.
Later that month, he moved on with Scottish local Anna Maria Torv, to whom he was married for 32 years. Through Torv, Murdoch fathered Elisabeth, 55, Lachlan, 52, and James, 51.
Murdoch was 68 when he and next- 30- yr- old Deng, who is Taiwanese, quietly exchanged vows aboard his sailboat in New York Harbour in 1999.
Following their 2013 marriage, Murdoch married Jerry Hall in 2016. Hall, 67, spent nine years formally married to Mick Jagger while living with him for more than 20 years.
