Senate Bill 4 will return to court this week in Houston. The broad immigration law grants Texas’s law enforcement unmatched authority to patrol the border.

SB4 was passed during the specific period of last year, but there has been a legal fight between the state and the federal government over how to carry the contentious statute. The authorities are currently preventing Texas from enforcing it.

On Wednesday, lawyers may have a chance to urge a three- determine board whether SB4 does or does not violate the Constitution.
