An Oklahoma woman reportedly had questions with federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI ) agents outside her home on Wednesday over social media posts she shared on Facebook.

According to Fox News, Stillwater, Oklahoma tenant Rolla Abdeljawad claimed FBI agents arrived at her home on Wednesday and informed her that Facebook had given them pictures of her social media posts. A video posted on X, previously Online, by Hassan Shibly, Abdeljawad’s attorney, shows the Oklahoma person asking the FBI agents to ensure their identity, however, the FBI agents consistently refused to show their badges on cameras.

In the video, Abdeljawad can be heard asking the FBI agents,” So we no longer live in a free country, and we ca n’t say what we want”? In response to the woman’s question, one of the FBI agents said,” No, we totally do”.

The broker continued,” We do this every day, all day long. It’s just an effort to keep everyone safe and make sure nobody has any ill would or terrible purpose or anything like that,” when the lady explained that she could hardly be arrested for using her First Amendment right to freedom of speech.

Throughout the conversation, Abdeljawad insisted that the only thing she did was training her “right as an American citizen on a public social media platform” by sharing her “personal ideas” on Twitter.

Afterwards in the video, the person may be heard asking the providers,” Are you questioning all the people in America”? In reply, one of the agencies admitted,” We certainly do if we had any sort of issues”.

The Oklahoma person’s attorney also provided guidance to Americans on what to do and what not to do in a similar situation to the FBI in addition to the video of Abdeljawad.

“What she did correctly: 1. Refuse to contact them without the assistance of an attorney. 2. Refuse to allow them enter her home.3. Record the interaction,” Shibly wrote. “What she did wrong: 1. Exit her house. Do not let them in your house if they do not have a warrant but do not exit your house either.”

According to Fox News, Abdeljawad’s Facebook profile contains several articles supporting Palestinians and criticizing Israel for the continued fight in Gaza, but the precise articles that led to the FBI’s investigation of Abdeljawad’s social media account have not been revealed.

The FBI stated to Fox News that it” can never launch an investigation based solely on First Amendment protected activity.”

The FBI “is committed to ensuring that our activities are conducted with a legitimate law enforcement or national security goal,” the statement continued.
