New footage has emerged of the federal raid on rapper and fashion mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs Los Angeles home last month.
The footage was brought forward by Diddy’s ex, designer Misa Hylton, who is the mother of Justion Dior Combs. Justin was at Diddy’s mansion at the time of the raid, leading Hylton to accuse federal agents of “overzealous” and “overtly militarized force” during their investigation.
Footage shows dozens of armed federal agents dressed in tactical gear as they executed a search warrant on the rapper’s 17,000-square-foot residence. The agents were conducting the search in connection with a sex trafficking investigation targeting Combs.
CCTV footage shows agents aiming weapons at two of Diddy’s sons as they swept the building. Christian “King” Combs, one of Diddy’s sons, was briefly detained by DHS agents but was not arrested, the Los Angeles Times reported.
“The over zealous and overtly militarized force used against my sons Justin and Christian is deplorable,” Hylton wrote. “If these were the sons of a non-Black celebrity, they would not have been handled with the same aggression. The attempt to humiliate and terrorize these innocent young BLACK MEN is despicable!”
Hylton went on to state that “laser beams” from rifles at her son’s chest, additionally claiming that agents held a gun to the back of his head as they detained him. The designer said that her son’s attorney, Jeffrey Lichtman, was “investigating the excessive use of force which was unnecessary and certainly not required by this search warrant.”
“We will fight for justice utilizing every imaginable resource. I’m not with the propaganda!!!!” Hylton said.
Diddy was not present at the Los Angeles Area mansion at the time of the raid. Sources familiar with the situation told the Los Angeles Times that the rapper was scheduled to take a Spring break vacation with two of his daughters, though the trip was cancelled following the search.
The rapper has denied any wrongdoing in connection with the years-long investigation from prosecutors with the South District of New York.
