Recently, a dozen firms went public on Wall Street. One, Reddit, has done brilliantly. Former President Donald Trump’s social network went public, and it has n’t performed as well. Astera Labs went open before both, and it trades close to its IPO value. Public Investments in 2024 are over 70 cent from 2021.
That’s not because there are n’t great businesses that are deserving of public markets being created. It has to do with other elements.
For both the company’s shareholders and employees, going public is a fantastic time. They can cash in assets and exercise the selections that have been granted to them. Being a public corporation is a sign of balance, so it’s a great indicator to customers and potential customers.
