Past actress Jennifer Leak D’Auria, known for her responsibilities on shampoos including” The Young and the Restless”,” Another World” and” One Life to Live”, died last week after a yearslong fight with liberal supranuclear paralysis, a rare neurological disease. She was 76.
Her father of 47 times, James D’Auria, confirmed she died on March 18 at their home in Jupiter, Florida, the , East Hampton Star , reported Thursday.
The bereaved family disclosed that his wife’s brain cell was given to the Mayo Clinic, where she was diagnosed and engaged in research on the condition.
According to the Minnesota- based doctor,  , liberal supranuclear palsy , hinders a victim’s ability to control “body motion, coordination, thinking and another significant functions”. For the past seven years, Leak had been suffering with the problem.
Beginning her profession in the middle- 1960s, Leak’s acting funds included roles in TV series like as” Wojek”,” The Great Guys” and” Hawaii Five- O”. In 1968, she played Lucille Ball’s young girl in the comedy ,” Yours, Mine and Ours”, a video about a combined family even starring Henry Fonda.
During the 1970s, the Wales- born celebrity gained traction on nighttime TV in a number of shampoos, including” The Fresh and the Restless”,” Ryan’s Hope”, and” Another World”. She made her way onto” Guiding Light” and ,” One Life to Live”  , in the 1980s. Her final acting credit, per , IMDb, was as Dr. Hennessy in two episodes of” Loving” in 1992.
After retiring from acting, Leak worked as a revenue representative with , Devlin McNiff Real Estate , in East Hampton. She and her spouse after relocated to Amagansett before moving to Florida permanently in 2017.
Her husband, who she met in New York City and wed in 1977, described her as” a shy and reserved man who never felt the need to be in the center of attention or have an market.” She kept those emotions and just displayed them on lens, until she became “electric.”
Leak’s bones may get buried in the grave of her youth church in Rumney, Wales.
