According to company officials, Amazon is discontinuing its” Just Walk Out” systems, which makes it possible for consumers to shop and keep stores without having to go through a typical actual shopping.
Otherwise, the Seattle- based business will change the systems with bright carts, also known as “dash carts”, through which customers can skip the check line.
Additionally, that technology, which is essentially a scanner integrated into a shopping cart, offers more advantages, such as allowing customers to scan their purchases as they purchase and monitor their spending history in real time via an on-screen receipt.
A spokesperson for Amazon confirmed the change to a statement to USA TODAY, noting that simply Amazon Fresh locations, the company’s physical and online grocery stores, and certainly Amazon Go convenience stores.
