Pence’s Advocacy Group Launches Ad Campaign Pressuring Schumer on TikTok Bill

‘ TikTok is the Chinese Communist Party’s way to feed America’s children their advertising and gather information on all TikTok people,’ Mr. Pence said.

Former Vice President Mike Pence’s social advocacy organization, AAF, has launched an advertising campaign calling on Chuck Schumer (D-N) to support the bill. Y. ) to vote on the TikTok expenses.

” TikTok is the Chinese Communist Party’s way to feed America’s youth their advertising and gather information on all TikTok people”, Mr. Pence said in a speech.

TikTok launched a$ 2 million advertisement campaign last week to prevent the bill that would bind the app to the CCP, but AAF is up by launching an advertisement campaign to demand that it be passed and signed into law, he added. The Chinese Communist Party has the authority to renounce our nation’s safety. The Senate should then take action.

The House passed the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act on March 13 with a 352 to 65 vote in favor of the TikTok expenses. Mr. Schumer refused to put any policy against TikTok to a vote after the House vote, but he assured the Senate would evaluate the House-passed costs.

If passed, the law may require Chinese parent business ByteDance to renounce the application before it can be hosted in U.S. app stores. The goal is to let go of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP ) influence over the game.

A 2020 picture of Mr. Schumer introducing his criticism to TikTok and its connections to the CCP is the first scene of the 30-second commercial. The voice in the ad reads,” TikTok is building a account on every American consumer and has become a modern fentanyl,” and several headlines show TikTok’s ability to collect data.

Next, the campaign shows Sens. Mark Warner ( D- Va. ) Marco Rubio ( R- Fla. ) speaking about the threats posed by TikTok.

Republicans and Democrats in Washington concur on one thing: We must prevent China by stopping TikTok. Call Sen. Chuck Schumer to request that the TikTok costs be put to a vote, the voice reads.

The House-passed TikTok act has recently been supported by Mr. Warner and Mr. Rubio. The piece stated in a statement released following the House voting that they “look forward to working together to get this act passed through the Senate and signed into law.”
AAF’s$ 2 million ad campaign did work in Washington and several important Senate swing states, including Montana, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, according to Politico.

    Help for TikTok Bill

TikTok has been displaying pop-up alerts urging its customers to contact their representatives and voice their opposition to the regulations. Some lawmakers have also received death threats from visitors, including Sen. Thom Tillis ( R- N. C. ).

Mr. Tillis claimed in an interview with Fox News that Mr. Schumer “is wasting a lot of time” by refusing to sign the TikTok act.

” China has a link to TikTok. Consider the 1, 000 and 1, 000 calls to Washington, which could provide the Chinese Communist Party with details because they are still connected to a Chinese firm and required to engage with their state, he said before mentioning that China is a totalitarian program rather than a democracy.

People of TikTok should be aware that this is not about removing TikTok. We’re talking about protecting this system and protecting your knowledge”, Mr. Tillis added.

A recent poll from Quinnipiac University, which polled 1, 569 adults between March 21 and March 25, revealed that 41 % of those surveyed were in favor of the House-passed TikTok bill, while 40 % were against it.

But, the majority of respondents aged between 18 and 34 years old were not in favor of the bill. The poll found that 35 percent of this period team supported the act while 60 percent of this age group opposed it.

When questioned about the possibility that a foreign government might have access to TikTok’s user data, 45 percent responded that they were very concerned, 29 percent that they were only slightly concerned, 12 percent that they were not quite troubled, and 11 percent that they were not at all concerned.
Another surveys, conducted by Public Opinion Strategies and made public by America, revealed that 68 percent of Americans were in favor of the TikTok expenses. The poll was conducted from March 15 to March 19 and surveyed 1, 000 registered citizens.

The TikTok act received broad support across all political lines, according to the poll. According to the ballot, 73 percentage of Republicans, 64 percent of Democrats, and 65 percent of Politicians supported the TikTok costs.

73 percent of respondents were concerned about the app’s ownership by a Chinese firm, while 84 percent were aware of it.

In a statement accompanying the poll, America 2100 Senior Advisor Nate Hochman said,” Americans see China as the threat that it is, and they do n’t want their social media apps controlled by a hostile foreign adversary.”

” Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats will have to choose between placating a obnoxious, left-wing advocate base and the majority of Americans who want the Chinese Communist Party to leave our software programs and our nation,” Schucker and Schumer said.
