For CNN, things seem to be going from bad to worse. Scientist Scott Jennings emailed host Wolf Blitzer on Wednesday to get clear about what quickly turned into the most recent misconceptions saga involving former president Donald Trump.
Blitzer confronted Jennings with a speech attributed to Trump during which the former president reportedly referred to illegal immigrants as “animals” and” no people” during the sector. The post, as presented out- of- environment, sparked outrage across cultural press, with people accusing Trump of dehumanizing language.
” But when he says these newcomers are species, they’re not people, what does that recommend? I mean, is n’t that brutal? Should n’t people be condemning that”? Blitzer asked, laying the groundwork for a heated debate.
Jennings, however, quickly clarified the context of Trump’s remarks by highlighting a major omission from the storyline being promoted by some social media and media outlets.
” I listened to the entire audio. He especially spoke of Laken Riley’s murder in Georgia. And to be truthful with you, Wolf, if someone deaths another man be, I think they deserve to be called’ creatures.'”
” And I do n’t believe any American is going to actually reject that kind of rhetoric,” he continued. That poor child was brutally murdered. Does the person who did it never belong to animals? I think that’s an accurate term”, Jennings retorted, challenging the frame of Trump’s remarks by the Left.

You suppose he was just talking about those murderers, not necessarily about illegal immigrants entering the country in public? Blitzer asked.
” I listened to the tape, that’s precisely what he was talking about, in my opinion”, Jennings strongly responded.
The discussion began when a social media account belonging to Joe Biden’s are- election strategy, under the account Biden- Harris HQ, posted a 7- minute picture of Trump’s speech. The crucial context that implied Trump was referring to recent murder convictions was missing from the clip, which showed Trump saying illegal immigrants were “animals.”
Republicans claim that the edited clip was intended to interpret Trump’s remarks, which were specifically about an immigrant who had been detained for the murder of Laken Riley.
In the full context of his remarks, Trump had discussed meeting with Riley’s family, describing the 22- year- old’s murderer as an “illegal alien animal”, a term he defended as befitting of someone who committs such a heinous crime.
” The 22-year-old nursing student in Georgia who was brutally murdered by an illegal alien animal.” The Democrats say’ Please do n’t call them animals. They’re humans.’ I said no, they’re not humans. They’re animals”, said Trump.

In response to Republican-controlled Congress ‘ requests for better policies, the Georgia Legislature has moved forward with stricter immigration laws. The push comes in the wake of Laken Riley’s tragic death last month.
The bill, HB 1105, received final approval from the state House in a 99- 75 vote last Thursday, the last day of Georgia’s legislative session. The Senate passed the bill last week with a 34- 19 vote. It now passes to the Republican governor. Brian Kemp, who has previously endorsed tougher immigration policies.
