White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre reminded reporters during Wednesday’s briefing that the conference was” supposed to be private.” This was Biden’s primary strong sit-down with Muslim rulers since the terrorist attacks in Israel on October 7.
” The senator respects Americans — , any American’s right to peacefully protest, and we’re going to continue to have these conversations, naturally, with that community”, she stated. ” Members had an opportunity to become honest and to be able to share their thoughts and feelings about how, you know, how, where they are, how they feel about the situation happening, naturally, in the Middle East”.
The president also expressed his desire to work toward a full peace as part of a package to bring down the hostages and considerably expand humanitarian aid to Gaza, Jean-Pierre continued. The president made it clear that he mourns the loss of every honest life lost in this conflict, both in Palestine and Israel.
Dr. Thaer Ahmad, the man who left the conference with Biden, claimed he was upset that he was the only Arab to speak in the conversation.
