Disney will begin cracking down on password sharing across its Disney + streaming service, CEO Bob Iger has confirmed. In the same vein, Netflix did it for Netflix.
While speaking during an interview with CNBC’s” Squawk on the Street” on Thursday, Mr. Iger said the program will be launching its” first real foray into login sharing” in June.
The deployment will immediately begin in just a dozen countries before growing considerably, with a complete rollout expected anywhere in September, he said.
Mr. Iger said the walk is piece of Disney’s efforts to turn streaming into a development company through increased signups and revenue, noting the company is “eventually” looking at twice- digit margins for the business….
