Anti-trans advocates faced a setback at Disney’s yearly shareholder meeting on Wednesday, which marked the climax of the company’s most significant and controversial proxy challenge to date.
Now, amidst a plethora of proposals from both conservative and liberal factions, Chloe Cole, a 19- year- ancient important in her campaigning against “gender- affirming care” for minors, took the floor. She demanded that Walt Disney Co. owners support a proposal that would require the company to include costs for people who choose to detransition.
Ms. Cole presented the proposal on behalf of the National Legal and Policy Center, a liberal watchdog organization that targets perceived misuse and corruption in both the public and private sectors, on behalf of the partnership of health professionals “focused on keeping identity politics out of health education, research, and clinical exercise.”
