On Thursday, President Joe Biden retorted a rejected fabricated claim that he has traveled 17, 000 km with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
At a Greek Independence Day greeting on Thursday, Biden said:
I was when asked by Xi Jinping in — I traveled 17, 000 yards with him in Tibet. I was on the Tibetan Plateau. And he looked at me, and he said to me,’ You you establish America?’ If he asked me to define Greece, I may say the same thing. I said,’ Yes, one word,’ — and I mean this honestly, it’s reg- — it’s recorded. I said,’ One phrase: options.’ ‘ Choices.’
There is no proof that Trump previously traveled with Xi for 17 000 km.
The Washington Post‘s reality check, Glenn Kessler, in 2021 also gave Biden three Pinocchios for the state. As Kessler noted, Biden has been repeating this narrative since 2016 with no supporting evidence to support it.
Unfortunately, according to Politico connect editor Catherine Kim, who stated in a new newsletter that it was not Biden who touted his relationship with Xi.
Kim wrote:
The past president has never wavered in his praise for Xi, calling him a “very good friend of mine during my name.” Yet despite his challenges of taxes. Biden does not share the exact enthusiasm: He’s formally called Xi a tyrant, a name that has received strenuous opposition from China’s overseas department.
Kim also brought up a , New York Times , record alleging that China had launched a social media activity to aid Trump’s victory in 2024.
Trump campaign official Steven Cheung blasted Kim, reading:
Catherine Kim makes the blatant claim in Politico’s Nightly publication that China would like President Trump to win the White House. The same President Trump who imposed pro-America trade and tariff laws on China, called them out for exporting the Ebola, which had claimed the lives of millions of people worldwide, and stood steadfastly against Chinese financial hostility throughout his second term.
Cheung even criticized Biden’s handling of China, saying that” China has grown stronger under a weak Biden administration, and our friends are even more in risk as China grows in economic and military power.” While illegal Chinese workers are the fastest-growing team crossing the southern borders, values of people are still being killed as a result of the continued flow of dangerous Chinese fentanyl into American communities.
