My meditation is that they continue to exhibit the moral tenets and religious convictions necessary for any organization deserving of the moniker “loan and university.”
A doctor was fired from Concordia University Wisconsin two years ago after praising “woke anxiety.”
” My Concordia school is experiencing anxiety because it is coming under the influence of Woke- ist ( that is, a strong concoction of Progressivism, Neo- Pragmatism, and Marxism )”, Professor Gregory Schulz wrote two years ago, in a bit called” Woke Dysphoria at Concordia”.
This appears to be what led to Schulz’s expulsion, as recently reported by The College Fix.
“CUW officials violated the school’s plans by suspending Dr. Schulz without a ballot of the Board of Regents, expelling him from school, and demanding that he’ substantiate’ his beliefs”, a media release from the Wisconsin Institute for Law &, Liberty stated. The legal group represented Schulz ( pictured ).
Schulz continues to be concerned about the plans for the Lutheran academy in Mequon, Wisconsin.
He stated in a media transfer:
The moral and legal warnings that my WILL attorney issued in the beginning pages of my most recent book, Anatomy of an Destruction, as well as those that nationwide organizations like FIRE and AFA have received, are my desire for Concordia’s top administrators, regents, and cathedral body supervisors. I ask that they demonstrate the moral integrity and religious fortitude that are necessary for any institution deserving of the names Lutheran and university: ( 1 ) by embracing academic freedom for CUW’s dwindling faculty at its Ann Arbor and Mequon campuses; ( 2 ) by respecting professors ‘ contracts; and ( 3 ) by unequivocally rejecting and condemning all woke Marxist/DEI/racial and social justice programs and aspirations in our schools and universities.
His lawyer said Schulz is part of the opposition to “diversity, capital, and addition” on school.
” Throughout America, from Harvard to the University of Wisconsin, higher- training officials are then abandoning DEI and other competition- based discrimination”, Deputy Counsel Daniel Lennington stated.
” It is due in no small part to people like Dr. Schulz who are brave enough to stand up for this corrupt system,” Lennington said. ” I’m encouraged by this settlement and CUW’s change of course.” We are proud of our efforts to protect Dr. Schulz’s rights, and we wish him the best of all of his future endeavors.
WILL did not provide details of the settlement.
Schulz, subsequent to the suspension, wrote a book about the “woke virus” in higher education and taught in Kenya, WILL stated.
There were reportedly plans in the work for Schulz to return to teaching last year, contingent on “academic freedom” guarantees, as reported by The Federalist.
” A necessary ingredient would be a genuinely secure guarantee of academic freedom”, Schultz told The Federalist. Additionally, he wished that DEI and “anti-racism” be publicly dissented from the university.
