An established has warned that the Democratic National Convention may come too late for Joe Biden to look on Ohio’s general election ballot.
According to reports, President Joe Biden may have difficulty getting on the Ohio general election ballot as a result of an obvious conflict in state laws regarding the Democratic National Committee’s nomination process and the Ohio Secretary of State’s office’s nomination date.
In a email sent to Ohio Democratic Chair Liz Walters on April 5, which was obtained by some media outlets, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose raised the matter.
The date to confirm a political candidate to his office is July 7, 2024, according to Mr. LaRose’s email, but the Democratic National Convention is scheduled for August 19, 2024, making it about a year to late for President Biden to look on Ohio’s general election ballot.
According to Ohio state regulations, political party officials must formally certify the name of their choice for president on or before the 90th day before the general election, which is held on November 5 for the 2024 election period, with the deadline of August 7 being the same as the certification date.
The fix, according to Mr. LaRose, is for the state’s lawmakers to pass an exception or for the Democratic National Committee ( DNC ) to hold its nominating convention earlier.
The Epoch Times emailed a request for comment from the Biden battle or the DNC.
Despite the DNC telling the outlet it’s reviewing the letter, a Biden plan spokesperson told ABC that the plan is comfortable in resolving the problem.
President Biden faced no serious contender for the group’s election, which he clinched in March by securing a majority of members. State delegates must also attend the national agreement to ensure their choice of presidential candidate, which officially formalizes their decision.
As the number of unlawful border crossings rose to a record high during his presidency, President Biden, who is struggling with low approval ratings, has received severe criticism from both Republicans and Democrats for his implementation of immigration legislation.
The Biden campaign announced that it had raised$ 90 million in March, bringing its war chest to$ 192 million cash on hand. His apparent ballot challenge has emerged in Ohio.
By contrast, the Trump campaign closed out the month of March with$ 93.1 million in its coffers, with a March haul of$ 65.6 million.
Most cheap election cycle ever
In a duplicate matchup of the most costly national campaign in history, President Biden and President Trump will square off in the Nov. 5 basic election.
In the 2020 election pattern, spending on the presidential contest exceeded$ 6 billion, according to OpenSecrets. A non-partisan study project called Money in American Politics is conducted by org.
Spending in the 2024 pattern is expected to set new documents, according to advertising surveillance company AdImpact, who predicts that more than$ 10.2 billion may be spent on political advertisements, or about 13 percent more than it did four years ago.
AdImpact claims that the Biden plan and allied parties have spent more than$ 16 million on advertising through Election Day and have$ 32 million reserved in advertising through Election Day.
By comparison, the Trump campaign and its allies have spent$ 3.4 million since Super Tuesday, with$ 265, 000 in already booked advertising.
President Trump’s plan is holding a$ 43 million charity on Saturday, which is expected to bring in$ 43 million, breaking the record for the most income raised at a single fundraising event.
