On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s” Varney &, Co.”, Chicago Alderman Raymond Lopez stated that giving work permits to refuge seekers in America is” only perpetuating the obvious that they’re all going to be found as not having merit to be here, and then expect them to entirely, at some point, self- deport, which we have seen, generally, not happens”.
Lopez said,” I think one of the things that we have to get clear on is the fact that we have two different categories that we’re discussing. We have the prison seekers, who will inevitably receive Social Security numbers and job permits, and the illegal people who have previously resided in our cities and have been waiting for a way forward. I think we do n’t need to conflate the two because it’s very disrespectful and insulting to those communities that have been waiting for a way to legitimize their residency and are now being squelched by the asylum seekers if we are going to have a real conversation. At least 2, 000 immigrant asylum applicants are currently being treated in the City of Chicago for receiving work permits and Social Security numbers for their be until their significance reading. We are aware that the management works with them to achieve that.
Guest Stuart Varney then asked,” But do you approve of that? They are illegals ,]they’ve ] not got their court hearing yet, but they can work. Do you review of that”?
No, I do n’t agree with Secretary Mayorkas and President Biden’s permitting the manipulation of our asylum process, Lopez said. I think that, we know, smooth- away, that wanting function, which is the number one reason a vast majority of these individuals are these, is no grounds for asylum in the United States. And we’re really perpetuating the inevitable that they’re all going to be found as never having merit to be here, and then expect them to entirely, at some point, self- deport, which we have seen, generally, rarely happens. I think Congress should have taken action decades ago to stop this, impose security on the Biden administration, and take appropriate action to safeguard both the United States and our nation at this time.
