W. Kamau Bell, a comedian and director, recently said that Americans are “in trouble” if they ca n’t make fun of the problems we face if they believe a single president will change things, and that they do n’t understand the problems because they fear being canceled.
Appearing on a new The Last Laugh radio, Bell spoke about Joe Biden’s time, the coming 2024 vote, and the issues facing the U. S., according to the Daily Beast.
Bell claimed he was shocked that Jon Stewart of Jon Stewart’s television show made fun of Joe Biden’s time. He said his response was,” Hell this, person. You ca n’t even say an old person’s old”?
” If democracy is so delicate that comedians ca n’t make fun of it, we’re in trouble”, Bell added. I do n’t anticipate Jon Stewart saving me, I say.
Bell continued,” If the candidate wins the 2024 election, it might not problem.”
He compared the competition for the White House to the possibility that this country may get fucked no matter who the next president is. ” If we act like the whole future of the country moves on who’s the leader, we’ve misunderstood the trouble. We’ve misunderstood America”.
Bell noted, though, that his skepticism was n’t aimed at causing people to stop voting.
” So I’m not saying do n’t vote”, he said. ” I’m saying absolutely vote, please vote, register to vote, check your voter registration, but do n’t act like your vote for president is going to save America”.
Bell appears to have some issues with “understanding America” on his part. In 2017, for example, the considerably- left media character insisted that Islam is apparently “part of America’s founding” that, in his view, the fact that some dark slaves imported into the U. S. in the imperial times were from Muslim regions of Africa, that means Islam has a presence in earlier America.
Bell has also been a consistent sexist, asserting that no one should be able to decide whether or not a particular race is prejudiced.
And he used Father’s Day as a platform to attempt American fathers to assist having their kids aborted, calling abortion a “human correct” in 2022.
