Utah state Rep. Phil Lyman ( R ) said on , Breitbart News Saturday that Gov. Spencer Cox ( R ) is more of a” Gavin Newsom 2.0″ than a Republican.
Lyman aspires to dislodge Governor. Cox, stating that he thinks the latest government favors Democrats more than the typical Republican. According to Lyman, Cox just toasted Biden at the Gridiron Club supper, a gathering for national media figures and reporters.
” I do n’t know why he has an R]Republican ] next his name, honestly. In his state of the state address, it was like Gavin Newsom 2.0″ , , Lyman told , Breitbart News Saturday host Matthew Boyle.
” It does n’t resonate with Utah voters”, the Utah gubernatorial candidate said.
Lyman continued,” Persons are pretty confused by the government, who thinks his work is complete whatever President Biden wants and to combat Donald Trump. It’s ridiculous”.
Cox allegedly aligned herself with President Joe Biden’s available edges policy. Utah was designated a sanctuary state by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) agency in 2023 after three Utah counties canceled their intergovernmental agreements with ICE.

Lyman claimed that Cox is in “lockstep on that full mission, which is to overburden the United States with unlawful immigrants.”
Cox, the candidate for governor of Utah, even alleged that the government had a coronavirus lockdown policy that Lyman claimed helped him win the previous governorship election.
He said,” Spencer Cox is the only one that had any subscribers. And he wins the governor’s competition because he shut down his competitors”.
According to a poll conducted in March, Lyman held the Republican State Convention by nine points, according to a unique report from Breitbart News ‘ Nick Gilbertson.
Gilbertson wrote,” The surveys, conducted by Mark Strategies between March 14- 20, found 43 percentage of verified member respondents support Lyman in the fictional two- means matchup, putting him nine points away of Cox, who registers at 34 percent. Another 16 percentage are uncertain who they would support, while six percent would help another candidate”.
