This year, a six-month inspection uncovered a number of attacks on Mexican-related chop shops in the Houston metroplex. More than$ 1 million in stolen vehicles were taken as a result of the raids.

According to a report from the , New York Post, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement authorities were more clear in linking the activity, which was run by three Hispanic citizens, to the narco-terror business Cartel Jalisco New Generation.  , ICE officers identified the band officials as , Edgar Bravo, Jesus Gutierrez- Escamilla and Bernando Fernandez- Pereyda.
The , New York Post stated that , Gutierrez- Escamilla entered the U. S. improperly more than 12 times before. In the interim, he has frequently spoken with law enforcement, but he has never been taken to ICE for elimination.  , Fernandez- Pereyda even entered the U. S. improperly in March 2023, according to Border Patrol information, the post states.
Sheriff Gonzalez reported that the raids resulted in the recovery of 14 stolen vehicles valued at more than$ 1 million.

A drug smuggling indictment against 41 people was issued by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas less than a week before, according to Breitbart Texas ‘ Brandon Darby and Ildefonso Ortiz , making The Cartel Jalisco New Generation’s story in Houston. The prosecution identified , 52- year- ancient Roque Zamudio Mendoza, from Michoacan, Mexico, as the leader. He is thought to be hiding in Mexico.

Court records do not specify information about the passing areas used by the gang or their strategies of distributing the drugs, but officials revealed that from Houston, CJNG members may move their shipments to New Orleans, Louisiana, Pensacola, Florida, Atlanta, Georgia, Nashville, Tennessee, and Chicago, Illinois. According to the indictment, the smugglers moved drugs between 2018 and 2020 for CJNG. If the group’s members have continued to operate since then, it’s not clear if they did so.
One of Mexico’s most violent drug cartels, Cartel Jalisco New Generation, has been linked to numerous terror-stye attacks where they carried out explosives. As they wage bloody turf wars against Sinaloa Cartel factions and other cartels, this criminal organization has been at the forefront of using IEDs and weaponized drones.
The Houston-based CJNG cell’s indictment and operation come as the Texas city has been dealing with a PR nightmare. As Breitbart Texas  , reported, a series of audits revealed that in an eight- year span, the Houston Police Department did not investigate and filed away more than 260, 000 criminal cases, including more than 4, 000 sexual assault cases.
According to Fox 26 Houston, the vehicles that can be identified will be returned to their owners. During the tactical operation, five suspects were all detained.
