Scottish Police Warn Hate Speech Law Will Force Cuts in Policing Actual Crime

Police in Scotland have been warned that the controversial new love speech law passed by the communist government of Humza Yousaf did pressure police to reduce their efforts to policing real crimes.

The Scottish Police Federation ( SPF), led by David Threadgold, &nbsp, warned on Saturday that the Hate Crime and Public Order ( Scotland ) Act will require the sacrifice of other policing tiers because of the strain on the officer time recording and the investigation of potential speech violations.

Since the new talk restrictions were implemented on Monday, Police Scotland has received over 6, 000 complaints, making the offense of” stirring up hatred” against some protected groups a maximum sentence of up to seven years in prison.

Speaking to The Scotsman, the SPF president said: &nbsp,” At some point in the next fiscal year, the officers company will not do something because of the need that it’s being placed under then …&nbsp, That will have an impact later on in the year, there’s no doubt about it”.

According to Threadgold, “what we have been told is dilemma is the expression that reigns around” and that extra payments for the increased demand on police hours have not been budgeted for and that officers have not been properly trained on how to maintain the speech codes.

Calum Steele, the former head of the Scottish Police Federation, added that estimates of Police Scotland’s budget needing to” pepperoni slice” the fresh hate speech law’s enforcement resources are “probably liberal” and” pepperoni slice” is a necessary step.

Steele accused Police Scotland of being “negligently ready” and that many of the problems were “entirely immediate” but that the power” simply did not prepare”.

Woke Fail: Leftist Scottish Leader Receives More Dislike Speech Issues than J. K. Rowling, as Police Swamped with Reportshttps: //t. co/K8hzNfPSFD

    — Breitbart London ( @BreitbartLondon ) April 3, 2024

The Act was more thrown into panic this week after Harry Potter writer J. K. Rowling dared authorities to arrest her because she boldly claimed that some high-profile transgender “women” are actually males.

The comments evidently were in violation of the law, with federal minister&nbsp, Siobhian Brown originally stating that “misgendering” someone would be a violation of the conversation codes. However, apparently reticent to arrest one of the country’s most famous and celebrated residents, Police Scotland said on Tuesday that it would not criminally charge Rowling.

Rowling added that she would post the same exact message to force the police to arrest her if any woman was arrested for declaring that a “man is a man.”

In a further humiliation for the leftist Scottish National Party ( SNP ) government, Humza Yousaf, the country’s first minister, reportedly received more complaints than Rowling in the first 48 hours of the Act’s implementation due to a 2020 parliamentary rant in which he claimed there were too many white people in government positions and other positions of authority in Scotland, where 95 % of the population are white.

Conservative member of the Scottish Parliament who attacked the first minister said:” Humza Yousaf arrogantly refused to listen to anyone who warned that his hate crime law would put extreme pressure on Scotland’s police officers.”

Despite these legitimate questions and concerns about freedom of speech, the SNP, supported by Labour, remained in favor of this terrible legislation. If this results in the police being prevented from being unable to perform their duties, it is utterly scandalous.

Although there have been significant increases in online reports since April 1st, they have been managed within our contact centers and have not had an impact on front-line policing, according to a Police Scotland spokeswoman.
