Jerrod Carmichael again again attacked Chappelle for calling his 2022 coming-out comedy special Rothaniel” the bravest unique for 1996″ in a recent interview with Esquire.
” And it’s like, that’s a humorous enough line, whatever, but I wonder if he gets the humor that the fact that you are mocking it even then is why it was hard”.
The artist has previously expressed displeasure with Chappelle’s trans quips, saying two years ago that , Chappelle’s tradition is only” a bunch of opinions on transgender shit”, which he called” an unusual hills to kill on”.
Chappelle allegedly made a poor response to the feedback, according to Carmichael.
” He took it as’ Fuck Dave Chappelle,’ because he’s an egomaniac”, the actor told Esquire. He demanded a public apology from me or some such thing.
Elsewhere in the meeting, Carmichael claimed the comic world nevertheless treats queer people unfairly.
” I also think saying you’re gay is saying something’s wrong with you”, he said. And gay jokes make up the majority of humor. When long as people continue to laugh at it and insult it, and as long as it’s a climax, it’s going to be terrible for anyone. It’s frightening for me”.
As Breitbart News reported, Jerrod Carmichael’s having of last year’s Golden Globes was a scores crisis. Only 6.3 million people tuned into the NBC broadcasting, according to the final figures, a record-breaking attendance for the once-must-see awards service.
