Leonel Moreno, the Colombian “migrant influence” known for instructing other workers on how to take advantage of National” homeowner’s right”, is then complaining of “persecution” as he sits in prison.
Moreno, who had over 500, 000 supporters on TikTok before his profile was removed, made headlines last month when he told another illegal immigrants to” capture” homes that appear to be abandoned, Breitbart News reported.  ,
In a film that had almost 800, 000 sights before it was taken down, Moreno said in Spanish:” I found out that there is a law that says if a home is not inhabited, we may acquire it”.
Referring to very controversial” homeowner’s right” rules that exist in varying types around the U. S., the celebrity said the regulations allow for a “land conquest”.
” That will be my second organization, invading abandoned residences”, he said.
Additional videos on his social media channels promoted begging on the streets, relying on government handouts, and illegal immigration.
” I did n’t cross the Rio Grande to work like a slave”, Moreno said while waving a stack of$ 100 bills in an Instagram video viewed , by the New York Post.
He went on to say that he had grifted sufficient money to support himself, his spouse, Veronica Torres, and their newborn child.
The Venezuelan national also backed Jesus Alejandro Rivas-Figueroa, the 15-year-old immigrant who was accused of shooting a woman in New York’s Times Square in February.  ,
” I invite you to find ]his ] mother and]for ] all of us to unite to pay the fines ]so] that the young Venezuelan feels that he’s not alone during difficult moments”, Moreno told his TikTok followers. ” Remember that up there there’s a God who sees everything]down here ]”.
After losing track of him as a result of his unlawful entry into the United States, Moreno’s social media fame may have helped authorities find him.
Before Moreno’s videos showing migrants how to live off the state started going viral, “ICE had lost track of him.” According to the Daily Mail, he was detained last month and is now said to be living in Columbus, Ohio.  ,

The 27-year-old migrant has been on the run since he crossed the border in Eagle Pass, Texas, in 2022, according to ICE officials.  ,
After having his social media accounts suspended, Moreno posted videos of himself crying and claiming to be targeted and threatened with threats.
He claimed authorities are” chasing” him in a video he captured while holding his child that he needed protection.
Immigration officials are looking for a Venezuelan illegal who encourages other illegals to squat in American homes.

In a recent , interview with the New York Post from jail, Moreno doubled down on the “persecution” accusations.  ,
He said in Spanish from the Geauga County Jail in Chardon, Ohio,” I came here because of persecution in my country… but they’re persecuting me there.”
” The media is completely deceitful about me,” he said. They’re defaming me. They’re misrepresenting me in the news … I am a good father, a good husband, a good son, a good person, humble, respectful to people who respect me”, he continued, before crying:” I miss my entire life – I miss my freedom”!
Additionally, he expressed concern that” they’re going to kill me.”
He did n’t seem to specify who” they” are.
” They’re coming for my life – anyone”! the jailed migrant claimed.
Moreno also tried to get money out of the interview, which the Post refused.
According to ICE, Moreno was initially allowed to stay in the country “on a Biden administration-approved parole scheme,” but then, according to the outlet, he later failed to show up for required check-ins with immigration officers.
Moreno faces federal charges if he posts videos to his 18, 000 Instagram followers showing him handling weapons in a store.
He claims that his First Amendment rights have been violated because of his” job” on social media.
He told the Post,” Social media is my job, but if Leonel Moreno commits a crime or something, they would be right, but it’s because of my work,” he said.
We’ve evolved from being a free nation where we can express whatever we want to express, not one that is oppressive.
He continued on to claim that he was only playing a” character” in his controversial videos.  ,
” The person who is in my videos, my character, is not the same person as Leonel Moreno. I am a different person. We ca n’t confuse one with the other. We ca n’t confuse my character with my real life”, Moreno said during the televisit.
” I have a sarcastic, dark humor. That’s my job … Leonel Moreno is the opposite”, he continued.
If he agreed with the opinions he had posted online, he declined to respond.
