A federal judge appointed by Biden has rejected a request from Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman to stop a cease-and-desist order that was issued by New York Attorney General Letitia James and requires Blakeman to rescind the county’s ban on transgender girls competing in girls ‘ sports in public spaces.
In Feb., Blakeman, a Republican, bucked the state’s progressive creation and announced that sports born as men would not be allowed to play as women in the state. Additionally, Blakeman further ordered that any leagues that permit kids to play on a female ‘ team will be prohibited from using county-managed services.
Letitia James, a left-wing New York attorney general, demanded almost immediately that Nassau County stop defending girls ‘ sports from transgenderism and that it stop acting in violation of the deep blue state’s “human rights” laws.

The AG’s cease-and-desist email sent to Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman read,” The Order’s immediate effect is to push sports teams to produce an difficult choice: discriminate against trans women and girls, in contravention of New York law, or discover somewhere else to play.”
In federal judge, Blakeman filed a lawsuit against the stop and refrain text. Second Circuit District Judge Nusrat Jahan Choudhury, who ruled in favor of James on Thursday, insisted that Blakeman’s get violated the Empire State’s human rights, and that Blakeman’s ask to stop the condition from enforcing its laws “falls far short of meeting the great table.”

Choudhury, who was appointed to the bench by Joe Biden in 2022, also stated that Blakeman’s executive order likely violates the 14th Amendment’s Equal Protection Clause, according to The Hill.
In order to rescind his executive order and remove the transgender athlete ban, Blakeman will have to file a new lawsuit against the left-wing judge’s decision.
