The southeastern and northeastern United States ‘ total solar eclipse on Monday is likely to disappoint the hundreds of thousands of people who have traveled there because the path is covered in cloud cover and bad weather.

A total solar eclipse is a rare occasion where the moon passes directly in front of the moon, casting a black shadow that can last a few minutes, depending on the moon’s distance from the earth.

The knowledge is amazing. During sum, the outer part of the sun — the corona — is obvious, as are stars near the sun, and planets for as Mercury, which is usually invisible. Animals are silent, and darkness rings the sky.

However, where there is fog support, all that people will see is that the sky becomes black. And as a result of projections, cloud support is expected for days, excluding parts of the Midwest and parts of northeastern New England.

The eclipse will begin in North America at 2: 07 p. m. Eastern Daylight Time ( 11: 07 a. m. local time ) on Mexico’s Pacific coast. The darkness of the moon does bridge shortly after into Texas, passing near or over Dallas, Texas, Little Rock, Arkansas, St. Louis, Missouri, Carbondale, Illinois, Indianapolis, Indiana, Cleveland, Ohio, Buffalo, New York, and Burlington, Vermont. The moon’s shadow will leave continental North America via Newfoundland at 3: 46 p. m. EDT ( 5: 16 p. m. local time ).

Dallas was once thought to be the most likely place to experience clear skies, but a new climate meteorologist estimated that there are roughly 5 % of clear skies, with significant thunderstorms forecast for later in the day.

Some people have traveled to see the supermoon, booking air tickets, hotel rooms, and other accommodations.

However, many of those tourists are likely to be disappointed — though others will be completely happy.

Some eclipse runners take particular chartered flights above the clouds to escape the clouds.

Looking at the moon is extremely dangerous, except at the time of sum, and visitors should make use of special eyeglasses or a tiny camera.
