A Catholic priest has been accused by the French government of calling sexuality a “weakness” and saying that queer acts and relationships are immoral.
Father Matthieu Raffray, a Catholic priest of the conventional world Institut du Bon Pasteur,  , posted a video , to social media last quarter encouraging Catholics to fight against their crimes, which he says are types of “weakness”. Among the transgressions Raffray named was sexuality. He preached,” We all have faults: those who are arrogant, those who are angry, those who have queer impulses”!
The preacher faced immediate reaction from LGBTQ activists and businesses, and French Minister for Gender Equality and Battle Against Discrimination Aurore Bergé , called , Raffray’s preaching “unbearable”.
She added that she has asked the Interministerial Delegation for the Fight against Racism, Anti- Semitism, and Anti- Gay Disdain” to make a statement to the common attorney” to determine whether the priest’s preaching constitutes a crime. ” I will not let anyone get in the face of anger, whatever it may be”, Bergé said.
The delegation , responded , that it had filed a document with the public prosecutor, alleging that Raffray’s allusion to homosexuality as a “weakness” to be overcome may offend the European ban on” change therapy”. The business commented,” So- called’ transformation treatment’ has been unlawful since 2022. It is shameful to talk about sexuality as a failure.
In an interview with the French Catholic news outlet Famille Chrétienne ( Christian Family ), Raffray , explained,” It’s a video that talks about temptations in general. I wanted to make it clear that we are not obliged to give in to all our pleasures, all our needs. I make mention of lgbt among other things. Homosexual behavior is a crime, he continued,” But I think people no longer understand what a crime is.” ” Denouncing a crime does not mean denouncing the person who commits the crime”!
” The freedom to be a Christian now is at stake, not mine.” I pray that all the honest realize that the whole Church and Christian morality are being attacked, the priest said. No one is forcibly making certain people listen to the Church’s training. However, many people are suffering and require this message from the Church to prevent them from falling prey to homosexuality or any other love.
Raffray even refuted the claim that his remarks were “homophobic.” The preacher said,” I’m not racist, but I’m also careful with the diction I use on this topic because I know the subject is sensitive and that people can easily get hurt.” He added,” I insisted on the fact that we had to have value for these individuals, their personal problems, and their interior problems”.
In the midst of the European administration’s denouncement of his preaching, Raffray’s Twitter account has  , passed over 20, 000 fans. The pastor quipped,” Bless you all for your help. Thanks also to the tears of all colors who try to disturb me with hideous conflicts: attention assured …” He added,” Friends or enemies: I pray for you”.
Raffray also has over 60, 000 followers on Instagram and more than 22, 000 supporters on YouTube. Raffray, a professor at the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas ( Angelicum ) in Rome, has a doctorate in philosophy and uses his social media influence to educate his followers about the Catholic faith. He has also published several books, including” Myths and Lies of Progressivism” and” The Greatest of Combats”, a recent publication centered around the Christian fundamentals of masculinity.
Raffray’s reputation as a common figure began to grow in 2020, after an interview in which he called for a renewal of “virile Catholicism” and Christian nationalism. He is a member of the brotherhood of conservative Catholic clergy who celebrate the Tridentine Mass prior to the turn of the century. He is a preacher of the Institut du Bon Pasteur. The firm has monks stationed around the world, including in France, Italy, Poland, the United States, South America, and Africa.
